Intended for:

Practitioners and managers wanting to improve their service by moving the Solutions model beyond its use as an application of technique, to being the underpinning to all practice on a widespread and systemic level.

Content:

This 2 day workshop focuses on a primary aim for all services, teams and even larger organisations - to improve. It will show the steps required for a service to be fully Solution Oriented by introducing the S-Works Programme, a proven model for facilitating such innovation. The S-Works model mirrors the successful Solution Oriented School (SOS) model that is adopted by the Jersey, Scottish and Irish Governments and many English and Welsh LAs. This training will provide the necessary information for participants to decide whether they wish to introduce the S-Works Programme within their organisation.

For an outline of the training, click here.

Aims of the course:

  • To discover the framework for an effective team, service and organisation
  • To learn how to move from a technical to Solution Oriented, systems framework
  • To understand what we mean by systems and how to innovate them
  • To feel confident as an organisational agent of change

In addition:

1. Every participant will be offered a 1:1 briefcoaching conversation with a Sycol worker to discuss their emerging ideas, consolidate their learning and respond to individual need regarding the implementation of the S-Works Programme.

2. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about other Sycol Programmes such as the Wellbeing Programme, MAXSolutions, 3 Session Change Programme and the SOS.
