A Solution Oriented Approach to whole-school improvement

All teaching and support staff in John Paul Academy, including many from its associate primaries, have been trained in the Solution Oriented Approach and its impact on school improvement was recently noted by HMIE. S5/6 members of the Pupil Council will soon be involved in training younger pupils in the Solution Oriented Approach.

The Solutions Oriented Approach helps schools to create flexible, cooperative and consistent approaches to finding solutions. It identifies and promotes ability, skill and strength in all participants in school communities. It actively encourages shared responsibility in order to achieve the best outcomes for young people.

This event, which will be presented by staff and senior pupils, will be of interest to colleagues in all sectors. Participants are invited to bring along a maximum of 2 senior pupils to this event.
